Hi in receipt of UC partner ESA contribution I work part-time carers allowance I have just had a big accident an hospital have said I'm likely to be off work for 4 months I don't have provide sick note for work as I work 0 contract do I need ask my doctor for sick note for UC i know I have to inform UC I'm not working at moment I don't even know if I be returning to work any advice would be much appreciated

As you're a carer and your UC includes carers element then you have no work commiments anyway. You do not need to send a fit note for your UC.As your partner is already receiving the LCWRA element on your claim, you should already be claiming your maximum UC entitlement anyway. So going through the work capability assessment will not make a difference to your claim.To claim SSP from your employer, if you're entitled to it then you'll need to send a fit note for this. https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay/eligibility

Are thankyou poppy I'm not entitled to SSP from my employer so I shan't waste my doctor's time asking for sick note thankyou as always for your quick reply0

Just to confirm too - your UC calculation includes both the LCWRA element (for partner) and carer element (for you)? Your partner’s ESA and your CA are then deducted?0
