Has anyone ever had issues with getting a f2f appt? 
I have severe hearing loss so for my assessment I asked initially for a video call due to not hearing well on phones. Was sat waiting in the online waiting room when someone called me and said it would be a phone assessment. I said no and asked for a rescheduled assessment. 

Second assessment the same thing happened. Sat waiting when they called me to say they would be conducting it via phone call. Again, I refused. They explained there were some issues with the video call system - apparently it lags a lot and wouldn’t be suitable for hearing loss anyway - so I asked for a face to face assessment instead. They agreed. Letter then came through a week later saying it was a phone call assessment. 

Ended up having to have my friend with me so she could translate what the assessor said and explain any questions I misheard. 

Feel like it was completely unfair for them to push me into having a phone assessment even after explaining to them how much I struggle if I can’t read the lips of the person I’m listening to.

I’m aware it’s probably a regional thing but has anyone else had issues with getting a face to face appt?

    I'm so sorry you had to go through that again and again @cahubb89

    We've had posts on the community of users finding it difficult to get an appointment to begin with, it seems they are still working through a backlog but they should have listened to you when saying you needed to have the appointment face to face. 

    Did you ever get an answer as to why they didn't take that into account after telling them again and again? It may be something to raise with your local MP?
