I’ve never heard of a carer card unless somebody is employed as a carer in which case I assume their employer gives them an ID card.0

It's a card much like a driving licence with your details on to show you are a carer, it also allows you as a carer free entry and discounts to places, it just saves having to take your award letter with you as proof.0

Intriguing as it seems to be commercial but I can see the potential value.poppy123456 said:

I do think most cards come at some cost, even if just for postage.
I couldn't find anything on Carers UK which is the website on the GOV website. They have an email address which is: advice@carersuk.org. It may be worth asking them?1 -
Beware ther are firms selling them on here but you don't have to pay for them it is your entitlement as a carer or disabled person0

Am now confused. In the opening post I though you were asking for advice on how to get a card but this latest post seems to mean that you know where to get one free.Steveab said:Beware ther are firms selling them on here but you don't have to pay for them it is your entitlement as a carer or disabled person0 -
I'm not sure how much detail the National Trust essential companion card has, but I'm going to get one

There's also this but not sure how 'binding' it is

... but not free0 -
