I was on UC and LWRCA until December until I was 66 and entitled to my pension, I have been reading about Cost of living payments for 2023 and don't seem to understand if I am entitled to any at all. From what I have read I am not entitled to the pensioner £300 because you have to qualify before Sept 2022 and I became a pensioner in Dec 2022. I would be grateful for any help in understanding this please. Thank you

I think you will get £300 in November/December in 2023 if you reach pension age before September 2023 (which it sounds as if you have) but the qualifying date hasn’t been spelt out in the guidance. I will be very surprised if the change isn’t made because qualifying for the Winter Fuel Payment is always based on a September date and the extra £300 is just a change in the rate of WFP.Kate56 said:…I have been reading about Cost of living payments for 2023 and don't seem to understand if I am entitled to any at all.
