WCA assessment to Tribunal timeline and a question !

Hi
I’d like to share a recent timeline for a WCA to Tribunal for my partner, which some my find helpful. This forum helped me with seeing others experiences of tribunals which was really helpful, Thankyou to all who have shared their experiences!
UC50 completed August 2021 (re assessment after being awarded LCW in 2019)
Telephone WCA Feb 2022, awarded LCW but not LCWRA
Mandatory Reconsideration submitted March 2022
MR result received October 2022 and refused
Appeal submitted November 2022
Appeal Hearing March 2022, by telephone, judge awarded LCWRA on the day.
Is anyone able to advise what happens with backpay?
I know it will take a few weeks to sort out. My partner previously had LCW (in hindsight she should always have got LCWRA since her first assessment in 2019 but she didn’t appeal or know how to go about it).
I’m assuming the waiting period does not apply and the backpay should be from her WCA in Feb 2022 ? Thankyou for your help in advance!

It will be from the assessment period which the changes were reported. Not from the WCA. The waiting period doesn't apply.

@poppy123456 Thankyou Poppy, no changes were reported it was just a reassement, so what counts as the period where changes were reported ?0

That's odd because reviews have been suspended since the pandemic. The only assessments that are taking place are new claims and change of circumstances. Are you sure no changes were reported or even mentioned? If there were definitely no changes reported then it will be from the assessment period in which the decision was made.0

@poppy123456 Thankyou, that’s really interesting, it’s not something we were aware of.0
