Lcwra Back payment

Hi everyone I had a question regarding LCWRA backdated payment.
I was working but starting may 2022 I got sick and started handing in sick notes in my journal with no gap in any month. In September 2022 I was told that I might be assessed to see for my capability for work.
In January 2023 I did a work capability assessment and was awarded LCWRA in feb 2023. I was told my backdated payment will start from January 2023 to February.
I am confused because as far as I thought, the back dated payment was 3 months after report of illness with medical evidence. In my case, that was in may 2022. Shouldn’t the back dated payments be from September 2022 instead of from January 2023. I did question this and this is what was told to me quoted.
“Your Work Capability element has been applied from 13 September 2022 which is:
"Effective from when first declared health and ability, supported by medical evidence."
And so, according to the Decision Makers, your first assessment period that qualified for the amount is 12 January to 11 February 2023”
PleaSe kindly help me with this as I feel I’m being given the wrong amount

That statement is contradictory.
it says that the Work Capability (LCWRA) element has been been applied from September 2023. That seems correct.
It is contradictory to say that the element should only be applied from the AP from January to February.
Your LCWRA status started from May. You’re entitled to be paid the element starts September. Request a Mandatory Reconsideration.Exactly what date did you declare you health condition?1 -
Thank you so much for replying to me. I declared my health condition with sick note on 10th may 2022.0

I gave my last sick note in on the 21/1/2020 and told I didn't need to look for work but couldn't get a reassessment until Jan this year via phone call mine also was added in February this year and was told I'm not entitled to any back pay0

If you had reported a change of circumstances and reported the worsening of condition then it would have prompted you to send the fit notes and continue to send them until the decision was made.Do you have proof on your journal that you reported the changes? If so then request the Mandatory Reconsideration on the decision not to award you from the date the changes were reported. Also mention being advised not to send any further fit notes from Jan 2020. I don't understand why they advised you this back then because that was before Covid started and assessments weren't suspended at that time.
