It's taken 11 months from start to finish for PIP

I started my PIP journey April 2022 and have a dated letter from them in April. I was eventually awarded PIP via a text on Monday morning 13th March 2023 with the award letter to follow in 2 weeks. My question is will it be back dated to April? Also when will payments be received?
It's such a relief, it's been on my mind every day...its been exhausting .

It's paid from the date you first rang to start your claim. Any money owed will be in your bank between 3-5 working days after payment was sent.If you want to know what date to expect your payment and what you've been awarded you will need to ring PIP to ask tomorrow morning when they open.
