Hello everyone, I have been awarded LCWRA on the 8th of February 2023. I have  submitted my fit notes since 31st October 2022 and my UC payment is on the 28th of each month. Does anyone have know, when I can expect to get the LCWRA payment?  I have just looked at my statement  for this month February  and there is no LCWRA included.
Kind regards
Kiki

There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. It’s not paid at during the waiting period.
Your waiting period will be Nov to Feb.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 22nd Feb to 21st March and first payment will be 28th March. No LCWRA element is owed.
The above advice is assuming you’re not claiming UC with a partner that already receives this element on your claim.

Hi @Kiki1 Can I ask please? How long was it from your WC assessment to getting your decision on 8th February?
I had my assessment last Tuesday so just looking for an idea of timescale and how long I’ll have to wait.
    Many thanks 🙏

Up to 12 weeks once the assessment report is returned to DWP. When claiming UC some have a decision within a couple of weeks, others wait a lot longer. It really depends on each individual case and backlogs.

Reviews are suspended still. The news yesterday has nothing to do with reviews. Those changes will not start to take place until at least 2026/27. Definitely not something to worry about at the moment.

When you start working you need to make sure you report a change of circumstances and tell them you’re working.
There’s no maximum amount of hours you can work. Whether there’s any entitlement to UC with your earnings will depend on your circumstances.

You will have the work allowance, which means you can receive a certain amount of earnings each month before the deductions apply. If you claim for help with the rent your work allowance will be £344/month, if you don’t it’s £573/month.

You can use a benefits calculator to check if there’s any entitlement.
