Evidence submitted after assessment

Hello all,

I had my PIP assessment a week ago. I have had some treatment for my condition since then and I have sent evidence through the DWP link. Will this be recognised after assessment or will it not now be looked at?

Also, my experience with phone assessment was horrible. The lady was just absolutely dreadful. I was distraught during it and she threatened to hang up several times. I felt like my integrity was being questioned. A lot of help I havent had is due to waiting lists. I have severe crohn's disease and a herniated disc but the investigations I am currently having are for joint issues causing excruciating pain, likely as a secondary autoimmune condition. 

I am aware a diagnosis is not required and that the assessment is anicdotal but I am immobile due to my condition. I tried my best to answer honestly but tailored to the criteria. However, I was not asked all of the questions. She was so abrupt and said can you hold a knife and fork or not but then didnt ask any other questions about care other than bathing. I can't dress the lower half of my body and I can't stand to cook but I wasn't asked these questions? 

Just a really awful experience and I'm really deflated as to be honest any PIP would be used to fund treatments I cant wait any longer for on NHS. I am just so miserable.

    Any extra evidence you send will be used providing they haven't yet made a decision on your claim. The asssessment process is there for them to gather more evidence to support your claim. It's not there for them to ask everything. The time to tell them everything was when you filled out the forms.

    As you've now had the assessment once the report is returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks. Once it's made if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.

    Thanks for clarifying, I thought all questions had to be asked again. That is reassuring. It was a very overwhelming experience.
