Await WCA decision, have been asked to attend a Support Event

My brother had his WCA last week. This week he has been given 2 days notice (16/3 @ 1:15) to attend a Support Event to give 'further support for medical conditions and also info about training available through Adult Skills '
Has anyone any experience of these events and is he obliged to go.
I usually accompany him to Job Centre appointments because he has mental health problems and that is stressful in itself. He does not leave his home apart from necessary appointments and always with me.
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you

Just to say we both went to the 'Event' and actually it was surprisingly quite useful. There were multiple stands to check out.  We concentrated on those helping folk with mental health problems.  Nothing daunting!
The downside has been the lack of information which has caused my brother unnecessary anxiety and also has started smoking again because of recent stresses of PIP video assessment, WCA & now this.
    Take care everyone ☺️

Thank you for sharing this with us @Woo171, it sounds like you had a positive experience with the event which is lovely to hear.

In terms of the lack of information, is there information in particular which might be useful to have? I am hoping we can hear you as clearly as we can and support you the best we can.

I am hearing your brother is really stressed and anxious at the moment. If there's anything else we can do to help please don't hesitate to let us know  :)
