Husband had a call from DWP today. We applied for PIP tribunal last week
The representative asked him about question 12, mobility.
Why have they called and asked this ? I'm his representative but wasn't at home when the call was received

When you request a Tribunal before DWP respond they review all the evidence again and sometimes (though it's rare) they may offer an award. If they do this, you can accept the award, wait for it to be put into payment and then request the Tribunal again if you're not happy with what was offered.

The caller from DWP just queried the mobility question. Nothing else was said0

Yes it can happen. If they make an offer it can be either daily living and/or mobility.

Will wait to see what happens next. I'm wondering if the DWP is now considering whether to allow this to go to tribunal or not0

They are reviewing all the evidence, as they always do at this stage. They may offer an award, they may not. Either way, the hearing will continue as normal. If they offer an award and you accept then the appeal will lapse. If you're still not happy with the award you can do as i advised here.poppy123456 said:you can accept the award, wait for it to be put into payment and then request the Tribunal again2

Another phone call from DWP this morning. Offered husband daily living and standard mobility. He's accepted.
Does this mean he will now get PIP or could it still be refused by the tribunal ?0 -
If he has accepted he will get pip and the tribunal will be cancelled0
-
As advised, if he accepts the appeal will lapse. If he still thinks he can score more points for a higher award then once the award is in payment he can request another Tribunal. Timescales will then start from the beginning.

How long does it take for the letter to arrive and backpay?0
-
Money owed takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank once payment is sent. The letter can take up to a couple of weeks. If you want to know if money has been paid then you'll need to ring and ask.

I am the appellant's Representative. I feel dwp should have contacted me before reassessing my client in an interview he was not expecting

The interviewer rang me afterwards . She said if my client accepted the addition of lower rate mobility to his lower rate living allowance he could still make an appeal but it would start from the beginning again, Is that right?
