For 6 months now I have been on and off trying to get a NHS dentist oppiontment.Im in agony, in bed all day with migraines today, abseses .
I have tried 111...
All dentists in the area, even dentist hospital...they just say I can pay, if not tough.
I haven't got the money and am considering pulling teeth out with pliers ordered off ebay, but nobody wants to do it for me.
I'm in Birmingham...
Ps I really have tried everything, it's disgusting, I have cognitive problems, heart trouble and cancer...
Surly I should be able to complain to some organisation.

Hi and welcome to the community

I feel your pain I've been trying for a couple years now . All my teeth are falling out I only have 16 left and had horrific pain

I was going to go private bur the only wheelchair accessible surgery is going to cost me £35 each way in taxi so on top of dental cost too expensive

I just want all my teeth out and dentures

I use a gel called oragel it's amazing for pain relief you can get it at pharmacy even supermarket or amazon

Unfortunately not only new buildings have to be accessible and most dentists are old converted houses

Try the gel it works instantly it's a anaesthetic but check with pharmacist if you take any other meds

I have severe osteoporosis and the Alendronic Acid caused an infection in my upper tooth, I've lost most of the upper ones. My GP took me straight off them and arranged an X ray said I must see an emergency dentist within 24 hours. My local dentist knocked me off their register when I missed check ups I couldn't afford. So I called 111 & they found me a dentist 3 tube/train stops away. I was fed up at having to travel & during a hit & miss service but the dentist is great so am delighted.
I'm shocked that you haven't got the same assistance from 111 NHS as I got & wonder if my seeing my GP first helped me?
They found me the dentist and the dentist called me to arrange the appointment. After the emergency appointment I was invited to stay on.
Please go to your GP for help as I did as infections here in jaw bones are in need of urgent treatment.
I wish you the best of luck.
P.S if all else fails A & E have to give you treatment I believe, if you've got to the stage where you're considering self extraction.
