Good morning everyone I hope your all good. Off to London tomorrow afternoon my husband has his medical relating to accident at work he had 3 years ago. It's taken long time to get here. My husband was working and he was stood on top of ladder passing items to guy in loft. The ladder gave way and he fell 12 ft landing on concrete floor. Ladder caught part of his fall. He was placed on stretcher collar on neck etc as was not sure injurulies he sustained. The ladder was put up by the supervisor in charge and checked. The supervisor did not foot the ladder he went off in another room. He came running when heard my husband's screams. My husband had broken bone lower back fracture back of neck and fracture right wrist. He had to wear back brace 8 weeks. He couldn't do anything he hated being at home. He went back to work after 6 months light duties. This didn't last long. He would do lots of driving some days he would leave home 6am be home 10pm was a joke as you only get paid 8 hours. He would get sent to Devon 4hrs plus and 4 hrs plus back plus working down there. It killed his back he would come home in so much pain. He had to do lots of stretching in his job this affected him too. Eventually he had enough he didn't want to go to work . He hated the job the driving and it was putting strain on our marriage. He got a job as a delivery driver with a supermarket delivering shopping. Less driving less hours you paid for hours you work . He been there year next month he so happy he loves the job and the customers and people he works with. I'm so glad he has a job he loves doing it makes all the difference

He does suffer with pain most days back right arm wrist even after 3 years since accident. I hope this taken into consideration in medical for his claim. He can't go up ladders anymore it causes him anxiety and stress just thought of it. He has nightmares still of accident. I believe this to be ptsd from trauma of accident.0

I hope things go well for you both tomorrow @Toffee2022 thanks for sharing, and I'm so glad to hear your husband is happy in his current role0

Thank you so do I. I've said we make sure they put everything in report. Company admitted 109% liability straight away so did insurance company. No matter what payout he gets it's not enough for what happened to him oor he still going through0

I hear you @Toffee2022. Nothing will be enough for what happened to him or for what he is still going through0

Well we went to Londo my husband had his medical it was a fiasco. Took hour half get there drive killed his back eas in agony. The doctor bloke called my husband's name to go into room then he was talking to someone else. He said I will see you first and he basically just ignored us. When we eventually got into see him when my husband tried to tell him something he kept getting shutdown man said we only have 20 minutes sir lot to go through. He examined my husband he could see he was in a lot of pain. We believe his right hand had a fracture time of his fall but because it wasn't picked up at time of accident it don't count. He said he has nightmares of accident he was asked if he wanted to see someone my husband said yes if it helps. He spoke to solicitor today and he was on speaker phone and it was like he didn't want to speak to my husband and he couldn't wait get off phone. I'm so angry and upset. I'm worried my husband won't get what he should for compensation. He was well before accident. He in pain everyday takes pain killers and I'm frustrated and don't know what to do my mental health on overload. struggles doing a full time job.0
