Hi I’ve recently joined here and I’m looking to get some help. I’ve recently been awarded LCWRA I have been handing in sick notes since October last year and got my letter today to say I’ve been accepted I’m just trying to figure out if I would be entitled to any back pay? Thanks

First payment would be either Feb or March. The exact date will depend on what date you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your money each month.0

On the 13th of every month0

You're waiting period is Oct to Jan.. LCWRA starts from assessment period Jan 7th to Feb 6th and first payment will be 13th Feb.. Up to now they owe you 2 months LCWRA element. It's unlikely you'll have the LCWRA element added to this months statement if the decision has only just been made so they'll owe you 3 months.Any money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and can take a few weeks to pay it.0
