I would like to thank everyone that has helped me with advice on this platform ππ
The good news is I have been offered a 1 bed bungalow going to view tomorrow, has to be 100% better than temporary accommodation.
The not so good news is I was informed yesterday 27th March & I will view tomorrow 29th the housing association say that they will bring a contract & hand over the keys assuming I like the property, (but I really can't refuse)Β I literally have nothing to my name apart from UC. The housing association have been helpful by applying for community grant 4-8 week waiting time π³, reading the council's website they want you to move in ASAP. I don't even know if gas or electric is on. The property is via local council homefinder & I have been fortunate to be offered a property so quickly..... Will update tomorrow after viewing π€
there is a long story that I won't bore you with how I got in this predicament.

@Teddybear12
Is quite a daunting task, the phone call I had from the housing association was crammed full of information & I had not got a clue of half of what she was going on about, it's like we should know all the ins & outs of the process. To get out of temporary accommodation will be fantastic..3 -

Great news I move in over the weekend π₯³ is a lot better than I was expecting it to be, have a little back garden, big bedroom & living room nice size, kitchen more than adequate, toilet/shower is also fit for purpose (but strange location) but it's a bungalow so a lot to cram into a small space.........Β7 -

I hope you will be very happy there, especially with a little garden to tend,Β
So pleased for you.0 -
Hello @RJPar and congratulations on your new home, I hope the move goes well and you settle in quickly!
Shelter have a fab advice page around Emergency grants, loans and money help designed with moving somewhat in mind if you want to give that a read. Are you okay for white goods?
I look forward to hearing about how you get on0 -

Might be helpful to look at:-Charitable trusts (depending on criteria)
Free ads (online marketplaces and freebie sites)Β
Some areas have furniture recycling schemes (try social services for list etc.)0 -
