I'm Peter, i'm 58 and have lumbar stenosis, I have since a year and a half been struggling through the benefit system and the NHS system, but managed so far!
I'd like to be able to chat with people who have the same experiences and wherever I can, help others.

Hello @petur64
Welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear you have been struggling to get through the benefit and NHS systems. I have popped your post into our benefits and financial support section of the forum, to see if the community can help with any questions or queries you may have.
With the NHS side of everything, can I ask, were you finding it hard because of appointment wait times? because you feel you are not being listened too? The NHS has the Patient Advice Liaison Service to help support you if you feel you need it.0 -
@Hannah_Scope. @Beaver79 . Thanks for your reply! my NHS story started a year and a half ago. I have had problems with GP's not recognising the condition of my knees and hips (osteo arthritis) nor my lumbar stenosis and basically 'fobbing me off'.
The NHS, DWP, PIP have been excellent in the time all my claims were handled. Its hard work to find out all the laws and rights if you get no help from outside(including GP's!) (Excuse me as I don't have much experience on forums!)

Ugh, being fobbed off is not the one @petur64
I can hear how it makes things more difficult.
Really pleased to hear they have been excellent in the time all your claims were handled though.
How are you feeling about everything at the moment? Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to support you0
