Here's a bit of the blurb...
I set up this group as a place for people facing chronic/hidden illnesses and/or environmental sensitivities who are struggling to find appropriate healthy peaceful homes. Living with a long term illness is a very different life and it can be hard to share with 'healthies' who don't understand and live at a faster pace. There also aren't options to search for specifics like low EMF spaces, noise sensitivity or mould awareness on current house sharing sites or air bnb's/hotels.
It can be a very lonely road especially for singles ageing and living alone. Feeling supported and connected produces oxytocin which is critical for healing. There is so much support online in Facebook groups but that can never replace the simple things like preparing and eating food together, tending to a shared garden, being present and holding space for each other's healing journey on good and bad days.
This group is here for you to ask for accommodation specifics or share a space you have to offer. It's not only about living together. It could be used for buddying up to travel together too. Or perhaps you like living alone or are a single parent and would like a fellow 'spoonie' close by to share other resources, help and camaraderie and could look for 2 solo flats in the same building or street...
