Housing entitlement

in Universal Credit (UC)
Hi there my daughter 21 has hust spilt from her partner and is process of changing everyrhing to her name including uc, she has been awarded entiltment of 265.31 then housing of 369.71 which totals 635.07 however because works they deducted 402.52 and under her housing part days she will have to pay rent does that mean they wont help her with the rent

    The maximum UC entitlement is made up of adding together the different bits that apply to her claim (the standard allowance plus the housing element). Once added together it is all just UC, the different parts are not treated separately. 
    The earnings deduction is in applied to the maximum amount. Whatever is left is the amount of UC that is paid.
