I'm on pip and ESA and going to move in with new partner . I will be moving from England to Wales. She is single and on Universal credit,  I'm not.
Do I move to Universal credit or do I add her to my ESA as a couple and she come off what she is on????.
At the moment I'm still claiming ESA with my wife but will be separating soon when I move out with my new partner.  Any one has any answers please.

Any income-related ESA will stop and you will be required to make a joint claim for UC, get your partner to do a change of circumstance on her end and she will be given a 'linking code' for you to use. Your award group from ESA will follow over on to the joint UC claim, provided your new partner doesn't receive LCWRA.

Any contributions-based ESA will continue and be deducted £ for £ from the UC claim.

PIP will continue as normal and is just a quick phone call to change your address, you don't need to make them aware of your new partner.

Who’s the main claimant of the ESA claim? You or your wife?

Then the advice given is correct. When you move in with your new partner if they are claiming single person council tax discount they will lose that.

PIP won’t be affected. If your PIP includes the daily living part and no one is claiming either carers allowance or carers element of UC for looking after you,  then your partner will be able to claim carers element. Providing they care for you for at least 35 hours per week.

Hi there @jacob19671983 and welcome, I've just moved your post over into our Benefits category, to help other members in a similar situation find it more easily. I hope the community has been able to help answer your query, but do ask if there's anything else we can help with.

Congratulations on moving in with your partner, and the move to Wales! Are you excited? :)
