How do 8 make my husband my nominated driver. I want to claim reduction in road tax. The car is registered in his name. He very rarely uses the car when I am not in it. I need it for shopping, Dr appointments, hospital appointments and to get out and about.

Hello @memmj and welcome, thanks for your query
Can I ask if you are on the Motability scheme at all?
It would be useful to know a bit more about which benefits you claim, as this will help us advise you more easily.0 -
I am in receipt of PIP. I get the mobility section at the standard rate.0

You notify the DVLA that as from (a date) you will be the registered keeper. Then you can tax the vehicle at the half rate. Remember you must check with his insurance company that changing the registered keeper status does not cause a problem with the insurance.memmj said:How do 8 make my husband my nominated driver.
