Can anybody give me advice about failing PIPs past presence test. I have qualified for UC but failed past presence for PIP. I failed as I was in China during lockdown and was not able to return to the UK. I would have returned had I been allowed to.

You must have lived in the UK for 2 out of the past 3 years, I’m not aware of any relaxation to this rule. When did you return? It’s been quite sometime since any lockdown was in place. https://www.gov.uk/pip/eligibility0

As poppy says, you cannot qualify for PIP if you have not been in Great Britain for 104 weeks in the last 156 weeks. The exception is if you are terminally ill and reasonably expected to die within 6 months (that may now be 12 months but I’m not sure).
