Hi I have just seen my uc payment for this month has my first lcwra payment added to it, we get paid on the 29 of the month
my First sicknote went in on 4/11/2022
with no breaks , I know that they is the 3 months waiting period , and had my access meant middle of April,, how ever will I be entitled to any back money as it’s been several months now , we are new to benefits and know very little about them, I have put a note on my uc screen asking about back payments and they said no nothing cd you please advise me please thanks x

    Your assessment period dates are 23rd to 22nd of every month. You reported your health condition/sent your first fit note in AP Oct/Nov, which doesn’t count because it’s not a full month. 

    Therefore your waiting period will be Nov to Feb.. LCWRA starts from AP 23rd Feb to 22nd March and first payment will be 29th March. This means they owe you 2 months LCWRA element. 

    Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay what is owed.
