    My Son is an Autistic Adult and works 20 hours a week he is on Pip and Working Tax Credits. We know by the end of next year he will be moved to Universal Credit can he claim the LCW element of U/C as he is very slow and it is very difficult for him to get work the place where he works are very understanding of this and he’s been there many years so would not want the U/C pushing him to find more work any one know the answer to this please

    When he's invited to apply for UC he will need to report his health condition, supported by a fit note. He will need to go through the work capability assessment before anything is awarded. If he's found to have LCWRA then he'll be entitled to extra money from the 4th month after he reported his health condition.
