Mandatory Reconsideration

I recently got awarded LCW and asked for a Mandator Reconsideration for LCWRA.
I have had a message asking if I wish to provide any further records including Medical.

All this confuses me.
What Is my best course of action? I'm currently getting help for Mental health issues such as Depression and Anxiety. I find it very hard to sort it out, contacting the Doctors etc. I've been wanting to up my meds for ages but haven't made the effort to sort it out. anyway...
Should I phone the Doctors and ask for some kind of written record to submit or should the UC people be doing that? Any other records I should be considering?

Thanks.

Your GP is likely to charge for any letter they write and it’s never the best evidence to send because a GP will not know exactly how your conditions affect you.

What you should do is have a look at the descriptors for LCWRA to see which you think applies to you and base the MR request on that. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity

Include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each activity you think applies.

Some people also find it helpful to ask those that know them well to write a letter of support.

Thanks for the reply. I just found out about the charge after I submitted a request. Doh!

"Thank you for submitting a medical report request which we will action accordingly.

Please note that for 'to who it may concern letters' you will be required to pay a fee of £28".

I assume I will get a bill with the letter? I'll just send the letter to the UC people and hope for the best. Not a lot I can do other than plod on. I don't have the mental energy to do otherwise.

Oh no, this sounds really frustrating @beljim - especially as you only found out about the charge after you submitted a request and you don't have the mental energy to do otherwise  :( Please don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to support you  :)
