Carer allowance advice

So a couple of weeks ago my husband got a DWP letter inviting him to go for an interview under caution, because I am disabled he couldn't go without me and was told to fill in a form denying the invite and explained with a letter why he couldn't attend and agreed to a phone call interview or an home interview.
We have heard nothing from them since, and the carer allowance are still paying him the carer allowance.
I'm wondering how long it takes for them to get back regarding this, and if they have want to talk to him regarding work why they are still paying him carers allowance.
Does anyone have any similar thing happen to them or any advice for us, it's getting stressful now not cus we have done wrong cus we haven't but just waiting to hear back.

It will be impossible for anyone to tell you how long it will take for them to get back to you. He could ring the number on the letter to ask them.

I'm sorry to hear about the stress this is causing @ollieandduke, I'd echo Poppy's advice and chase it up with a phone call if you're feeling concerned.

It's a pain to have to, but hopefully it will help clarify things for you! Let us know how you get on when you can :)

thing from them since, and the carer allowance are still paying him the carer allowance......
.........if they have want to talk to him regarding work why they are still paying him carers allowance.

I think the answer is in what you have posted. Still receiving care allowance and that he is working.
Has his income whilst claiming CA gone above the limit allowed? Or Has the DWP been previously notified that he is now working?

The OP hasn’t said how much their earnings are if they are working. You can earn up to £139/week while claiming carers allowance.

That's the thing he isn't worked for 2 yes so we can't understand why they want to see him and when he did work they were sent proof of hours

So another week has gone by and we are still waiting to hear about the result of my husband not going to is interview under caution, but are still getting our carer allowance.
We have rang them to ask if a decision has been made, but have been told they can't discuss it as it is ongoing.
I don't know much about DWP but I always thought if they were looking into a case they stop the benefit it's regarding until any decision have been made.

He's not worked for 2 years and declared it, and the only thing I can think that's suspicious is the fact that we have changed out bank 3 times in a year due to the banks closing by us

I hope they are able to give you an answer as to why!
