Ways to use my son's Direct Payments

My son's Direct payments have so far been used for after school clubs and Carer support days out over the school holidays. After a recent re-assessment I'm trying to understand if I can use these Direct Payments for a cleaner to manage my son's washing/bedding/bathroom/games-physio room or for us to go on an accessible holiday as a family together? I'm disheartened by letting someone else take him on fun trips whilst I have to work or stay home to take care of managing his special diet food prep/prescriptions/laundry. I want to be the one enjoy our wonderful little boy!

You will need to speak to your local Authority regarding this because usually you're only supposed to use the money for what it states in his care plan.

The decision for his recent hours are quoted as "1. need for child to have social opportunities2. need for parent(s) to have a short break3. need for siblings/young carers to have a break4. need for practical assistance in the home5. other0

In my opinion 2 & 3 doesn't mean you can spend on the money on a family holiday. The carers support for days out is likely in place to give you and his siblings a break from your son.You will need to speak to your LA.0
