I'm currently confined to my living room .I had a fall down stairs 12 weeks ago giving myself 4 compound fractures. I've an external frame on the leg for 18 to 24 months. Seems I cannot get stair lift bathroom made into wet room grab rails to come into my home. List goes on. Would take over a year for any of these because work is so far behind because of covit19...ive to get 2 carers for half hour each a day @£22.50 an hour....they can accomodate that immediately. Im very upset looking at same 4 walls 24/7 laying in a single bed that I'm unable to move in because of the size of the leg frame and the weight of it..I asked distric nurses about another mattres, well don't think that will happen. Look on their faces said it all. I'm totally lost, what I can have, what I cannot have to help me live indipendantly, just to be able to sleep upstairs in my big bed ..oh and have a shower would suffice. No chance of that.

Hello there @lj60 and thanks for reaching out, I'm sorry to hear how things are for you at the moment. It's frustrating when you're not getting the support you feel you need. I hope we can help.
It would be helpful to know if you've spoken to anyone at your local authority about your wet room and other adaptions, and if so, what's the situation right now?
I can see one of our members has asked about getting food, are you able to get all the essential things you need?
If we can help with anything else, please do ask, and we'll do what we can.0
