Hi.. I got a letter on my journal saying I've been accepted for the lcfwa and I'm just wondering when my 1st payment will be?
I made my claim in febuary around about the 18th.. And supplied fit notes since January 2023 until now..

There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is then paid from the 4th month of your claim. If you didn’t start your UC claim until about 18th Feb then I don’t understand how you could provide a fit note before your UC claim started. Do you mean the 18th was when you returned the UC50 form? If so then that’s irrelevant. What date did you report your health condition/send your first fit note? and what date do you usually receive your money each month?0

So I sent my 1st fit note in January. And yea I returned that form in February my bad. I had my assessment 3 days ago then had a message yesterday saying I have got lcwfa.. And I normally get my uc on the 10th of every month0

I hope that makes sense0

That doesn’t help, I need to know the exact date. You can look back in your journal and it will tell you.joshmez94 said:So I sent my 1st fit note in January.Without this then your first payment will be either May or June.0 -
Okay I'll have a look now bare with me. Thanks for helping0

Hey poppy it was 16th of January the 1st fit note0

Would I get any back pay.. Its my 1st time applying for this element0
-
Also what happens now.. Do I just wait for another letter in the post0

Your payment date is 10th which means your assessment periods (AP) are 4th to 3rd of every month. You reported your first fit note in the middle Jan to Feb AP, which isn’t a full month so doesn’t count. Therefore your waiting period is Feb to May. LCWRA element starts from AP 4th May to 3rd June and first payment will be 10th June. No LCWRA element is owed. You will need to check your statement for this month to see if it’s included. There may not be enough of time to include it so they will owe you for this month.1
