That still makes no sense because they are completely different benefits.

If you reported your health condition and are sending fit notes then you should be referred for a WCA (unless you are working yourself and earning more than 16xNMW/week) then this would have prevented them referring you. Now you have been awarded PIP you can be referred even if you’re earnings are more than that.
If you have enhanced daily living, you automatically qualify for LCWRA.

Usually a person who is awarded PIP at any rate (standard or enhanced) is no longer subject to the Work-Related assessments and are awarded for the type of Work-Related activity via UC depending on their PIP award status.

    Hope that helps.
I'm not aware yet of what my entitlement is. High or low.
I am going to discuss with JC when I have my appointment next Thursday. It's all very confusing for me. As was changing from JSA to UC.

That isn’t quite correct. This applies to those of state pension age and above only.

For working age people a PIP award has no bearing on the WCA decision.

It also doesn’t exclude someone from work related requirements.

I would be cautious of relying on your WC for advice.

If you haven’t reported any fit notes (formally known as sick notes) then you will need one of those and report it on your journal. You will then need to continue to send fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made on your WCA.

Is pip separate from WCA? I'm confused (not your fault as it's easily done) as to why I need fit notes or WCA as was told being on UC and pip would be all I needed.
    Thanks.

PIP has nothing to do with the WCA. The WCA assesses your ability to work. Assuming that you are under state pension age then you will need to report your health condition, supported by fit notes and you will then be referred for the WCA.

If found to have LCWRA then you will be entitled to extra money from the 4th month.
Have you taken some time to read the link I posted earlier today? It gives quite a lot of information on that.

Hi. I admit that I haven't yet looked at the additional information in your earlier reply. I will look at it when my head is less scrambled. I am 48 and nothing has been said about WCA other than if pip was unsuccessful then that would be the route taken next. But are you saying that both WCA and PIP at the same time. Giving me extra money after 4 months?
Sorry for the extra questions. And please say if it's in the information you sent earlier. Wouldn't want you to keep repeating yourself as I do value your help. Just takes a bit to get my head around this sort of stuff/Information.
    Thanks

PIP is a separate benefit to your UC and you will receive your payments every 4 weeks.

For UC if your health condition limits your capability to work then you will need to report a change of circumstances in your journal. This will then prompt you to send a fit note (sick note) within 7 days. You will then need to continue to send the fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made in the work capability assessment. You will only receive extra money for your UC if found to have LCWRA.

That makes more sense. I will speak with my WC when I have next appointment. I will of course read the article you kindly sent.
    Thanks.

And thank you for your patience with replying to my questions. Again I must say I appreciate it greatly.
