Is pip separate from WCA? I'm confused (not your fault as it's easily done) as to why I need fit notes or WCA as was told being on UC and pip would be all I needed.poppy123456 said:

PIP has nothing to do with the WCA. The WCA assesses your ability to work. Assuming that you are under state pension age then you will need to report your health condition, supported by fit notes and you will then be referred for the WCA.MarkH75 said:

Thanks.If found to have LCWRA then you will be entitled to extra money from the 4th month.Have you taken some time to read the link I posted earlier today? It gives quite a lot of information on that.0 -
Hi. I admit that I haven't yet looked at the additional information in your earlier reply. I will look at it when my head is less scrambled. I am 48 and nothing has been said about WCA other than if pip was unsuccessful then that would be the route taken next. But are you saying that both WCA and PIP at the same time. Giving me extra money after 4 months?
Sorry for the extra questions. And please say if it's in the information you sent earlier. Wouldn't want you to keep repeating yourself as I do value your help. Just takes a bit to get my head around this sort of stuff/Information.

PIP is a separate benefit to your UC and you will receive your payments every 4 weeks.For UC if your health condition limits your capability to work then you will need to report a change of circumstances in your journal. This will then prompt you to send a fit note (sick note) within 7 days. You will then need to continue to send the fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made in the work capability assessment. You will only receive extra money for your UC if found to have LCWRA.0
