Hello, waiting for autism assessment. Age 49. Any advice on support whilst waiting, how to discuss with work, helpful online or reading resources. Please. Thanks.

I found some guides through google search. https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/topics/diagnosis/pre-diagnosis/adultsWaiting lists are at least a couple of years, possibly longer, that's the only downside.For your employer, if you need support at work then you can ask for reasonable adjustments. https://www.acas.org.uk/reasonable-adjustments
