Hi there my name is elaine and am a carer to an autistic daughter who is also an immature adult.Just received her mandatory reconsideration and they still saying she is capable to work which I disagree with. Was just wondering if anybody knows if there are any organisations that would be able to represent me at the tribunal as have social anxiety so don’t think I would cope with the tribunal hearing.Thank you.

It's not unusal for the MR decision to remain the same because the majority of them do. Are you her official appointee? If you are then you will be able to speak on her hehalf during the hearing. However, being represented will not mean that the rep can speak on your behalf because they won't be able to.

For representation you would need to look at either a law centre or Welfare Rights. Citizens advice no longer represent. This link will help you find what's local to you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

You can also request a telephone hearing, rather than appear in person. Most are by telephone or video anyway.

Thanks for reaching out @Ellie2059 sorry to hear! I can see Poppy has replied and I hope that's helpful for you, so if we can do anything else in the meantime, please ask.

I wish you all the best for challenging this decision, let us know how you get on.
