Hi,I’m on universal credit as I’m a carer for my 7 year old son who is disabled,my old employer’s have offered me a job which is 8:30-3 mon-fri which is fine, but unpaid during school holidays,so my question is
during half terms and 6 weeks holidays will the wages I’m not earning be replaced by the full universal credit I’m currently receiving??

Your UC entitlement is based on earnings received during your assessment period. You will have the work allowance, which means part of your earnings will be ignored before the 55% deductions apply. If you claim for help with the rent your work allowance will be £631/month, if you don't it will be £379/month.The more earnings you receive the less UC you're entitled to. The less you receive the more you're entitled to. This means if you receive no earnings you'll be entitled to your maximum UC entitlement. If you're claiming carers allowance do be aware of the earnings limit which is £139/week. There's no earnings limit to carers element of UC.0
