Update
I received a phone call from dwp asking me more questions about my conditions and how they affect me and I was very anxious I feel like I didn’t tell her enough information she said she was looking at my appeal today and would ring me if they are changing my award she also asked if I’d been in prison hospital or rehab since putting in my claim is this usual ?0 -
Hello @kerry77 and thanks for reaching out, well done for answering those questions. Hopefully you'll hear some positive news later today!
From what I've heard from other members on here, it's not the first time anyone has been asked those questions, so they are likely to be a part of the appeal procedure.
If we can help with anything more in the meantime, please ask0 -

I am so certain I haven’t included enough evidence to help me show how my conditions affect me it’s so overwhelming processing this0 -
Oh I'm sorry, it can certainly be overwhelming yes! Once you've got the letter, you can decide if you'd like to challenge the decision further, and we can help support if you need us too.
For the rest of the weekend I think as hard as it is, try not to focus on it. There's nothing you can make a start on until the letter arrives. Do you have much planned for tomorrow, if you celebrate Easter?0 -
As Alex says distract yourself when you start thinking about it (Don't read this post until after Easter).
With the letter, they'll be some claim sheets so you can send more information to Hearing Tribunal, so think of the examples / information that can help your claim.
Remember that 73% of claims are successful at Tribunal Hearing.0 -
**Update**I have a date for my appeal 24th July it’s a video hearing !!I am receiving support from my local welfare rights team who believe should be able overturn the original decision and I am entitled to enhanced for both they wrote a supporting statement
I recommend the bundle and couldn’t believe that the assessor for my original medical left out the most important parts about my disabilities
I was hoping to get more medical evidence but had no joy it’s seems everything is done digitally online and nothing works very frustratingAnyway after all that I wanted to ask do I tell the tribunal that since my claim my conditions have especially my physical conditions have got worse And the new medical intervention I am receiving??
also i am a single parent to two children with disabilities and of course I claim carers allowance for one of my children however I care for both my daughter who helps out when she can and a friend who has actually moved in to help out inbetween college
however the dwp have raised the question of if I need a carer how can I be a carer!!
I feel this is quite discriminatory as my sons are young adults and I’m a single mum who else can care for them and although we all suffer with asd/adhd our care needs differ
Has anyone else had this issue at a pip appeal and will it go against me ?0 -

Has anyone else had this issue at a pip appeal and will it go against me ?A worsening of condition will not be taken into consideration. I'm surprised your Welfare Rights Officer didn't advise you of this.Lots of people claim carers allowance and PIP at the same time. However, it may go against you if your caring duties contradict the reasons why you're claiming PIP.0 -
