Hi there my name is Jaide also known as @durhamjaide2001 I haven't had any issues with knee replacements but I have seen a lot of people on here who do. So I'm sure you will be able to find some friends.0

Hello and welcome to Scope's online community @jeaneypeaney and thanks for sharing a bit about yourself. How are you finding the recovery from the operation so far?
You might like to visit our physical and neurological impairments category, or our chronic pain and pain management category, to find other members who have been through knee replacements.
You are welcome to just browse the forum of course, a good place to get to know everyone is over in the coffee lounge, where you can chat and play some games.
If we can help with anything, don' hesitate to ask0 -

Hi and welcome to the community I hope your well.
I had a knee replacement last June, it took about 6-7 weeks for the pain to go with me. But I’m also waiting on the other knee to be replaced, I’m struggling more now as the osteoarthritis is also in both hips so causing shooting pains down my legs now,Iv also had it in my feet and hands for a few years to.
Sorry you don’t want to hear all that, that’s just my experience.
I hope you’re recovering well and the pain is easing.
Take care ❤️0 -
I had my right knee replaced just 10 days ago. I know there is pain, but I don't know if I am doing too much or not enough. Can anyone help, please.0

Hello @leswal0 and welcome, thanks for reaching out, how are things for you at the moment?
It can be hard to know what's right, as everyone's body is different, so it's always advisable to check in with your GP or a specialist involved in your care post operation. Have you had much support in that way since your knee replacement?0 -
I had a full left knee replacement 4 weeks ago and it's going well. It's still very swollen but it's all going back to "normal". I had a spinal block and I was out the following evening. The only thing Im disappointed about is the 'physiotherapy' as usual an appointment where I was given a PDF with some exercises. Overall I'm very pleased with my surgery.
@Lou67 I totally understand you, I to have severe osteo in hips and my other knee and lumbar stenosis, got one new knee but I'm still not able to walk , my surgeon(spinal) wants to see a change in my posture once
i've recovered from the knee before they do surgery on my spine. So I carry on waiting and trying to stay positive !

Oh that’s a shame I really hope everything settles soon for you, it’s very painful.
As for physio I really thought someone would’ve came out for at least a couple off weeks, but there’s so many cut backs.I wish you well with your spinal surgery when it happens.
Take care ❤️0
