Hi everyone, i recieved my pip assessment report and was scored 14 points for daily living and 12 points for mobility which I’m happy with but i had 3 missed calls today from pip and when I rang them back they said the decision maker was ringing me but obviously no answer so they made the decision but couldn’t tell me, does anyone know why the decision maker would call you? I’m really nervous now because I missed there call

Sometimes they may ring to ask some questions before making the decision. The reason they couldn't tell you what the decision was when you rang is because it takes up to 24 hours for them to be able to see that decision on the system.

It could a few things, but the likeliest is to ask if you've been in prison or hospital recently or check payment details. It doesn't sound major, otherwise they wouldn't have made a decision.0

Does the DM usually go with the assessor report? And thanks for replying guys0
-
Mostly yes but it has been known for them to go against it.

I received this just now, I thought they usually text you with a decision0

They don’t usually do that if it’s a review. I’ve only ever heard of 1 person receive the decision by text with a review. This is a standard text sent for reviews.katjog34 said:I received this just now, I thought they usually text you with a decision0 -
I’ve just rang pip and they’ve awarded me enhanced on both but they’ve backdated it from the day I had my assessment not from the day I rang to tell them my health has declined0

If you reported a change to your health condition and were sent more forms to fill in and you had those changes for at least 3 months then it should be from the date you rang.katjog34 said:I’ve just rang pip and they’ve awarded me enhanced on both but they’ve backdated it from the day I had my assessment not from the day I rang to tell them my health has declined0 -
Yeah that’s what I thought poppy, my health got worse since September 2022 so I rang them end of January to report changes, sent the form back February and had an assessment 23rd April0

Then you will need to contact them.0

Should I wait for my decision letter first before I ring them?0

I spoke to a dm from pip and they told me that when I rang in January to inform them about change in my health they thought I was diagnosed then so they give you 3 month qualifying period which takes me to April, but I told them I was diagnosed in September 2022 which states in my medical assessment report so they said they have to do a mandatory reconsideration to back pay from January. They obviously don’t read all the information and evidence do they, does anyone know how long this should take please?0

That makes no sense because PIP has nothing to do with a diagnosis. Up to 12 weeks for the MR decision.
