Mandatory reconsideration

Hello, I had a wca 2 weeks ago and have been placed in LCW on the letter it says I no longer need to request fit notes from my dr. The thing is I have asked them to raise a mandatory reconsideration so does that mean I will still need to get a fit note untill they have looked again at the decision. I did ask on my journal but they just said I don’t need to take my fit notes to the job centre which I already knew.
Also if the decision stays the same, when you appeal do you have to attend court? I have severe anxiety and panic attacks so there’s no way I would be able to do that.

No you won't need to supply a fit note as you have been placed in the LCW group and that is what you are asking them to look at again. It's highly unlike a MR will change this decision so if you wish to take it to a tribunal you can. You can ask for a video or telephone hearing, I still think actually face to face court tribunals are rare at the moment. You will have a higher chance of success if requesting to attend the hearing via video or call rather than just a paper based hearing.0

Thankyou for that information. That’s good I would probably cope with doing it over the phone but definitely not face to face. I have told them I don’t even care about the extra money I just can’t benefit from therapy if every month I’m going to be overwhelmed by the stress of talking to the job centre which causes me to self harm again and in the long run they are going to make it take even longer for me to get better and get back to work0

Wow I’m in shock, i recieved my decision Monday and was placed in LCW I messaged on my journal yesterday to ask for a mandatory reconsideration and just now have recieved their decision. I have been placed in LCWRA! I am so happy I could cry. The relief of not having to keep having phone calls and now I can concentrate on getting my mental health better.1
