Disability assessment for Birmingham home choice

Does anyone know how to get a medical  assessment from Birmingham homechoice to be eligible for mobility adapted homes...also I now live in a flat 3 floors up so am struggling with the stairs...If I'm granted a mobility adapted home..could I still have a house with stairs inside and ground floor level access. As I have 4 children so a bungalow or ground floor 3 bed flat would be unsuitable. Would i have to argue why I want level access but don't mind stairs upside as i would change living room into a downstairs bedroom so I wouldn't need to use the stairs much but stairs would benefit the children. Basically I need out of this 3rd floor flat because i can't access easily but I still want a house not a flat or bungalow?

    The area where i live is also homechoice but no where near Birmingham. For my area when i filled out the form to be added to the housing list i told them about my health conditions and they sent me a medical form to fill in and return back to them. I'm now waiting for an assessment from one of their team but have no idea how long the wait is. You can do this by reporting your health conditions, if you haven't already.

    I also had a needs assessment by an Occupational Therapist who has also contacted them to send the the reports she did after my assessment. Recommendations were adaptions needed to be able to continue to live in my current home. As my LL will not give consent for the adaptions the only option is to move house to something that's adapted for my needs.     @poppy123456 thank you was your needs assessment  face to face ? So do I need to do both or 1 or the other?

    The needs assessment from the OT was face to face. I will need another from homeChoice which will also be face to face. I have no idea how long this will take.
