Universal credit at univeristy

I am getting really confused because I can’t work out if my universal credit will continue or not.
I’m on Standard rate PIP (waiting for a review to get enhanced) and when I last went to uni I still got my UC.
This screenshot says that I should still get some UC?

The amount I’ll be left with each month if it gets taken away is around £300 and that’s not enough to live off of.
my student loan is needing to be used on mobility equipment in the case I can’t get a grant for it as my wheelchair from WCS is not even a little suitable.

Whether there’s any entitlement to UC will depend on how much student maintenance loan you will receive. It will affect your UC even if you decide not to take that loan.Best thing you can do is to contact the disabled students helpline and they will give you all the advice you need. https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/disabled-students-helpline0

Really again??? I've been living in a dry house, own room, multiple spinal injuries and have never thought of this as a forward option. I've not even yet applied for suitable ground floor council property on medical grounds. Can I do these ??0

Also if there's a student maintenance loan available to you then it will affect your UC even if you decide not to take that loan.Kalps said:I've been living in a dry house, own room, multiple spinal injuries and have never thought of this as a forward option. You can put your name down on the social housing list, if eligible. However, there's potentially a very long wait, even more so as you're a single person. There's been a shortage of social housing properties for many years.Referring yourself for a needs assessment from your local Authority may help but there's no guarantee. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/getting-a-needs-assessment/

Hi Poppy, How would i go about enquiring about financial support from a University? I have little to no money myself to fund a course by myself.0

I'm no expert with this. I'd advise you to contact the Disabled Students Helpline and they will give you all the advice you need. https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/disabled-students-helpline
