PIP Mandatory Reconsideration

So I received the outcome of my PIP claim a few weeks ago.  I got 4 points for care and 4 for mobility.  I sent off my mandatory reconsideration letter today. I explained where I think points were missed and what expectations I have for standard rate. Not very hopeful but just going through the stages.  They make it so long and laborious.  It’s not even like it’s loads of money,  just the minimum.  But,  we should keep on fighting otherwise they just get away without paying it out.
  I also requested the healthcare assessment,  I requested it before and didn’t receive it.  As I didn’t have it,  I answered the points written by the case worker.  It’s strange how they accept aids for some sections and not others.  
They said I could walk around a small supermarket and mobilise at work so that is why I got 4 points.  My condition being knee arthritis.
Does anyone know how long MR’s are taking at the moment?

    Hello @Melaine48 I'm afraid there's no set timeframe for a MR, as explained on Turn2Us:

    How long does it take?

    The DWP does not have a deadline for doing the Mandatory Reconsideration. Some reconsiderations take two weeks, some take several months. 

    If you have not received your Mandatory Reconsideration Notice, it is a good idea to call the DWP after:

    • 2 weeks to check they have logged your Mandatory Reconsideration 
    • 8 weeks to check how much longer it will take
    • 12 weeks to chase again.

    If you are not happy with how long a Mandatory Reconsideration is taking, you may want to complain or tell your MP.

    Allow up to 12 weeks.
