LCWRA & Self-Employed

Hi,
I’m on LCWRA & I’ve told the Job Centre that I’ve become self-employed. They’ve asked me to attend an appointment called “gateway intervention” where they test is if I’m gainfully self-employed or not.
I already know I’m not gainfully self-employed because I have LCWRA.
I already know I’m not gainfully self-employed because I have LCWRA.
And I also know that I’m not expected to attend appointments……
A friend tells me her daughter has LCWRA & is self-employed and has to attend regular appointments at the Job Centre. But I know this is wrong.
You can’t argue with these Job Centre people because they often don’t listen, does anyone know if you can bring an advocate with you to appointments and know who offers such things? I’m sick of going in circles with the Job Centre!

You will not need to attend any further appointments after the first one. Everyone needs to attend this appointment when they first become self employed, even those that have LCWRA.Yes you can take someone with you when attending.0
