Consultation for PIP Application

Hi, I am Julie B. I took the plunge and applied for PIP after being informed by an independent assessor whom I had when I requested an appeal for a blue badge. I have now received a letter from DWP with an appointment for a consultation
I feel quite anxious about this. Has anyone here had such consultation?

    This will be the PIP assessment. Most people have them when claiming benefits such as PIP. 

    They will want to know all about your health conditions and how they affect your daily life. They will ask you various questions related to the PIP descriptors. 

    The assessment itself can last between 20 and 120 minutes, sometimes longer. If you kept a copy of the form (you should have) then have a read of that before the assessment to remind yourself of what you wrote. Try not to answer the questions with just a yes or no and try to give as much detail as possible. You can have someone with you if you want to.
