in Start here and say hello!
Hi I'm Lemmy3.
My mother is writing on my behalf I would like makes friends my age as experiencing loneliness. I have downs syndrome severe learning difficulties and speech delay. I go with my dad to a local pub & like heavy metal & indie music, but would like to befriend more people my age.

    Hi @lemmy3 welcome to scopes forum  how are you today.  Are there any social clubs near you for your age group that you could join. Might be worth looking into. Your more then welcome here to make virtual freinds.

    I've tried local social groups but music was pop & I didn't enjoy this kind of environment. I like alternative pubs n clubs with diverse clientele. Which seems to be lacking for special needs group interest all pop n soft rock, which the majority seem to like.Ty for the welcome. I'm only able to communicate online verbally ?

    That's a shame you didn't enjoy the music but it's finding something that you enjoy. Unfortunately there is not a option on the forum for vocal communication, maybe admin can look into that @Adrian_Scope

    Ty Adrian, I like verbal communication it helps me to build my. confidence & develop my communication skills. Also, soon I will be learning how to use an app too assist my speech 😀
