Hi 3 years ago I got a grant to get me a adjustable twin bed but the mattresses now need renewing but would cost more then a new adjustable bed so need to know if any one knows of where I can get a grant to get a adjustable double bed, as Social Services OT only provide a single bed with hard mattresses (they have 3 grades of memory foam mattresses but I need memory foam sprung mattress, as need a soft one). Also a number of grants you need a health professional to apply on your behalf would your PA (carer) be OK to apply for you? I have had 3 quotes for a bed ready for a application for a bed.

Hi @disabledkenny. Thank you for reaching out to us. I would expect a "health professional" to look like a GP or a consultant. I hope this helps to clarify. If needed, your PA (carer) could always go with you or phone on your behalf to see a GP or a consultant and inform the GP/consultant. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any follow-up questions or anything else we can do to help

Hello @disabledkenny
Hope you are well today? I echo what L has said about reaching to your GP for carer support. With grants for a mattress I would have a look on Turn2Us
