Hi all,
I am claiming PIP on behalf of my 16 year daughter.
I am claiming PIP on behalf of my 16 year daughter.
We applied in April, had a paper base assessment completed on 15th June and received a letter today (dated 29th July) saying they have enough information to make a decision.
Does anyone know the timeframe and does anyone know if a paper based assessment is a positive thing?
I feel like we have been waiting forever with little feedback from PIP I haven’t received any text messages at each stage.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's a standard letter and doens't mean anything other than what it says. There's no timescale from that letter. Timescales are up to 12 weeks once the report is returned.Paper based assessments are usually a good thing but it may not mean the decision made will be the correct one.Your timeframe is quite quick up to now.0

Thank you, it’s just causing my daughter so much anxiety waiting for an answer.Hopefully it won’t be too much longer for a decision.0

This sounds really difficult @williamst
Would anything, in particular, help to reduce your daughter's anxiety at the moment? Apart from the waiting being over of course! - unfortunately, we have no control over that. Hopefully, your daughter will receive a decision soon but please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to help in the meantime
