Hi
how long does it take for a LCWRA reassessment review ?
how long does it take for a LCWRA reassessment review ?
I’m in receipt of LCWRA and have been for the last 3 years due to my mental health
received a message in journal in June confirming I have been referred for a reassessment review.
received questionnaire forms on 11th June sent them back on 10th July as they was due for the 12th July and not heard anything.

Is this normal?
I keep checking my UC journal to see if I have any messages but nothing.
I’m not sure if this means they would have done a paper based assessment ?
My last assessment was 3 years ago and in person

Yes it’s perfectly normal. You could be waiting several months possibly longer.Another assessment is most likely as most people have them. These are mostly by telephone but some are face to face and video call. If one is needed once an appointment becomes available they will send you a letter in the post.0

Okay thank you Poppy for your reassurance, guess I’ll just be patiently waiting for the outcome x0

What I find annoying about it is they tell you to return it by a certain date, send you reminders about the importance of returning it in time then spend months or in some cases over a year actually getting back to you about it!

Would you mind if I asked, did you first get a journal message about contacting your GP, then the notice of review? Or just a notification of review out of the blue?
Some of the members here had the GP message then notice of a review, but back in May I had the GP message, then nothing.0 -
Referrals had to be made no later than 15th July. As you weren't referred by that time it's unlikely you will be now. Assessments for everyone claiming UC will start back by the end of the year.Kimmy87 said:

I can't figure out whether by referrals they mean sending a UC50 (which hasn't happened for me), or starting the process (which has been done with the GP message).poppy123456 said:

I do hope you are right but personally I am just not sure.0 -

A referral means the Health Assessment Advisory Service will be contacted and they will send you the UC50 form within days. You will know if this is being done because they will upload a letter onto your journal. As you haven't received that then no referral has been made.

Yes, so I got a journal message on my UC journal from a person at my local job centre advising me that I have been referred for a work capability review with an attached letter that stated “we need to know how your health conditions effect you” in the letter it stated forms would be sent out to me to fill in and return and that an assessment may be needed.Kimmy87 said:Would you mind if I asked, did you first get a journal message about contacting your GP, then the notice of review?
