Hi everyone - Please can I ask you to share this news article about our hydrotherapy pool that's been closed and is desperately needed?

Thank you for sharing this article. As a long retired physio I appreciate how important hydrotherapy is, & it also helped me when I did such classes as a student. I'm somewhat sceptical that it's said, 'it will take six months to train physiotherapists to update their skills.' Sounds like a poor excuse!

I was on the patient panel that were invited to discuss a solution but were told land physiotherapy was better and even after offering a cost saving solution they had already made their mind up. It was just a tick box exercise for our local health authority. I have had lots of hydro in the past and it's always been so beneficial. I know I will never get back to being fully able but without hydrotherapy it's taking ages to recover from my last surgery. At least it's nice to know the prime minister has his own heated pool but I'm sure he wouldn't let anyone use it!1

I'm so sorry; it seems from what other members have said that losing a hydrotherapy pool isn't uncommon. Before I knew what the problem I had actually was, as I mentioned, I found the benefit of hydrothrapy helping my joints so much so volunteered myself to give as many hydrotherapy sessions as possible!I'm sorry despite your involvement that lack of hydrotherapy has delayed recovery from your last surgery. I do appreciate your frustration, as I have found it elsewhere with Drs, etc.0

I've managed to find a pool to hire but have to find a physiotherapist to be in the pool and obviously help me recover. We are told they have no trained staff do back to the drawing board!0

Keep on fighting, & let us know how you get on, & the best of luck.
