Assuming you're not claiming any other benefits. A PIP award doesn't automatically entitle you to any other benefits. You can use a benefits calculator to check entitlement to Universal Credit. It's a means tested benefit so if you live with a partner you'll need to claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator You'll be excluded from claiming if you have savings/capital of more than £16,000.If you're claiming working tax credits then you'll be entitled to disabled element and you will need to report the changes to HMRC.If someone cares for you for at least 35 hours per week then they can claim carers allowance, providing they don't earn anymore than £139/week.If you scored at least 8 points in the moving around part of mobility PIP or 10 points for acitivity 1E (following and planning a journey) then you'll automatically be entitled to a Blue badge. For other criteria outside of automatically qualifying you'll need to look at your local Authorities website. https://www.gov.uk/apply-blue-badge

Thanks poppy
I heard about the road tax too
I have a car how do I claim the 50% off0 -
Yes you will be able to claim that. You need to send all of your documents to DVLA. Do be aware that the vehicle can only be used for your purpose. https://www.disabledmotoring.org/motoring/road-tax-50-reduction

Thanks poppy
Do I send copies incase I don't get the original ones back ?0 -
The MOT certificate must be the original. DVLA always return all documents you send them.
You must include the following with your application:
- a letter or statement from the Department for Work and Pensions that shows your PIP rate and the dates you’re getting it - if you’re getting PIP
- an ADP decision letter from Social Security Scotland that shows your mobility component rate and the dates you’re getting it - if you’re getting ADP
- the vehicle log book (V5C)
- a V10 form
- an original MOT or GVT certificate (if your vehicle needs one)
- a cheque or payable order (made out to ‘DVLA, Swansea’) for 50% of the full rate of car tax for the vehicle
- an insurance certificate or cover note (if you live in Northern Ireland)

Thanks
Just to say when I got awarded for mobility I got standard for journeys
But I did put new/unfamiliar
And should of put any journeys local new etc as I didn't understand the question
Would you say ask them to look at it again or could It affect it I also got enhanced on daily living0 -
A Mandatory Reconsideration does mean that they re-look at the whole decision again but extremely unlikely that they'd remove points. See the descriptors here:
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Migrated_Documents/adviceguide/pip-9-table-of-activities-descriptors-and-points.pdf
You'd only qualify for Enhanced Mobility if you cannot follow the route of a familiar journey without another person, an assistance dog or an orientation aid (assuming you don't qualify for more points for physically walking).
If you can't increase your points, there's no point in requesting.0 -
Thank you bg844
I struggle with my hearing so badly and can't follow journeys can't hear traffic/tannoys/asking directions and so on even if it is local
So I really should of put familiar /local and not new/unfamiliar
So it's difficult what to do now even tho am satisfied with my award0
