Are you eligible for government grant for Boiler Upgrade if you are receiving DLA?

Hello @dshah1912. Was this the boiler upgrade scheme you're referring to? I can't see anything about DLA in the eligiblity criteria.
Money Saving Expert have a page on Government Housing & Energy Grants which may have more information or others that may be of help to you.0 -
In or around 2014 I applied for a new gas boiler as my old one was just over 10 years old (home was built in 2003)
The main condition, apart from being over 10 years old was that I was claiming Guaranteed Pension Credit Luckily I had a claim started in 2013 for just a few £'s a week.
They fitted a new boiler etc which to this day works very well.
Cost? Nothing, they even cleaned up after the work etc.
A fantastic offer. Not sure that this scheme is still ongoing.0 -
            Hi any advice please!
pensioner on very limited means pension credit and pip have a disability so yes I qualify for a new boiler scheme
not so I have a very old condenser boiler over 15 years old constantly breaking down and have to pay costly repairs the water doesn’t get hot enough to have a bath in the cold weather I have to go to my daughters to have a bath according to every website I tried my Bolier is 90% efficiency just because it’s a condenser boiler I am not entitled to the EO4 scheme either no one will help me
i am now faced with getting into debt to get a new boiler how many others are denied this because it’s a condenser boiler hope someone might have any information please0 -

No, DLA on its own doesn’t qualify you for a free boiler under the ECO4 scheme. You usually need to be on a means-tested benefit like Universal Credit or have a low household income. However, you might still qualify if other factors apply, like having children or living in a priority area. For the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), DLA isn’t required — it depends more on your property and heating system.
