Hi im new to this looking for some info and friends. I've just been diagnosed with lumber spine stenosis after 9 agonising months of pains in my legs. Thought I was losing the power to walk. Feeling awful frightened and fragile. Don't know if I can handle this title. It sounds frightening and so final. Happy to find this Link. I didn't know were to turn.

Hey @plak, welcome to the Scope Community. You've found a place with people who have faced the same struggles of coming to terms with health issues as serious as yours. I myself struggled for years to accept having Inflammatory Bowel Disease, it felt like something was trying to control my life and what I could do. I really struggled for a long time to adapt, now I am much happier and healthier... for the most part
.
I also want to highlight and thank you for your courage of finding somewhere to talk about this. A reason I struggled with my IBD for so long is that I refused to open up and speak to others about it. So thank you for coming here and sharing a part of your story with us. That took a lot of courage. If you are feeling up to it we can talk about it more, such as what support you have available. However, I understand you've already made a big step, maybe you just want to relax and get to know people first? If so pop over to the Coffee Lounge and join in the conversations Coffee lounge — Scope | Disability forum.
Once again welcome, we're here to listen and be a friendly community
