HELLO, I WONDER IF ANYONE CAN ADVISE ME PLEASE.[SORRY FOR CAPS]. I AM 76, LIVE ALONE IN SCOTLAND, ,HAVE FULL CARE COMPONENT OF DLA. I PREVIOUSLY HAD HAD FULL ALLOWANCE MOBILITY. WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION, IT WAS STOPPED. I HAD MOVED TO SPAIN WHEN THIS HAPPENED, AND NOW I AM BACK IN SCOTLAND. THE ONLY WAY I CAN LEAVE THE HOUSE IS WITH MY PRIVATELY PURCHASED MOBILITY SCOOTER, OR BY TAXI. CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHY THIS HAPPENED, OR IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO, PLEASE.

When living in certain countries such as Spain the care part of DLA continues but the mobility part stops. See link.
If you’re eligible then you may be able to claim:
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for adults care component
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) daily living part
- Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance
You cannot claim DLA for adults mobility component and PIP mobility component abroad.
How long were you living there for and how long have you been back in Scotland?
